Terms and refunds

Short, because there is not much to it. If anything here is unclear, ask tommy@pingpermit.com before you pay.
The address report — $29, once
You get every permit the city has published for the address you chose: what each one was for, when it was filed, its declared value and status, the completion date and the contractor or owner where the city publishes them. It opens the moment the payment goes through and is emailed to you with a permanent link. One payment, no account, no subscription.
Refund: if the city's records do not back up what the page showed you before you paid, reply to your receipt and we refund you. That is the whole test.
The lead feed — $20 a month
New subscriptions begin with payment through Stripe at $20 a month. Existing promotional access is honored until its stated end date. A subscription can be cancelled at any time from the account page or by emailing tommy@pingpermit.com, and stops at the end of the month already paid for.
PingPermit Data — company subscription
The company plan includes bulk CSV export and API access to the permit records available in our covered markets. Its monthly price is shown on the Data page and at checkout. Full export access begins after payment. Cancel from your account's billing page; access continues through the paid period.
You may use the exports within your own business. This does not include resale, redistribution, or a guarantee that every permit or every field is available. Source coverage, filing delays and record limits vary by market; see sources and coverage.
What the records are, and are not
A permit record is what a city published, as it published it. Cities file late, leave fields blank, and occasionally get things wrong, and a few publish no contractor name or no completion date at all — each page says so before you pay, and the report will not invent what a city left out. A report is a faithful copy of the public record, not a survey of the property and not legal advice.
Fair use
A pilot or subscription is for your own business. Use the Data plan's export and API for automated access; please do not scrape the web interface, redistribute records, or share a login outside your business.
Payment
Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay. Payments are taken by Stripe; we never see your card number. The price on any page is the price Stripe charges — the two are checked against each other automatically.
